Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)
As from 1st January 2024, the Australian Government cover up to $1,095 over 2 calendar years for basic dental services under CDBS. The cap amount is indexed yearly on 1 January. This covers basic dental services for children aged 0-17 years of age provided they are eligible for Medicare and the parent or guardian or child receive at least once a calendar year any of the following eligible payments:
Family Tax Benefit (FTB) Part A
Parenting Payment
Double Orphan Pension
ABSTUDY
Carer Payment
Disability Support Pension
Parenting Payment
Special Benefit
Youth Allowance
Department of Veterans’ Affairs education allowances under the Veterans’ Children Education Scheme (if aged 16–17)
Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act Education and Training Scheme (if aged 16–17)
Wheel Smiles will check your eligibility with Medicare prior to providing the service once the consent forms are completed.
If you are not eligible, we will bulk bill the dental examination and provide you with an invoice and receipt once payment is received. Payment is requested by providing credit card details when the consent forms are completed.
